Mossman, Samuel (1859) Narrative of the shipwreck of the 'Admella', intercolonial steamer, on the southern coast of Australia/ drawn up from authentic statements furnished by the rescuers and survivors. Printed and published for the Committee of the 'Admella' Fund by J.H. Moulines and Co.Melbourne. Appendix A (pp103-104).

 

The Admella was wrecked off the Cape Northumberland, South Australia on August 6th 1859

24 individuals- 11 passengers and 13 crew members survived.

As the book suggests, names are as reported and may be mis-spelt. Hester Watkins name should be Hester Watkins Williamson (Georges niece) Hester's parents were not on board.

Ian Mudie’s book “Wreck of the Admella”   mentions Holbrook, a rep for FH Faulding Ltd
